Damian Rojo’s multi screen and photograph installation melds audio of heavy metal, Christian children’s choirs and field recordings of exorcism with a video of slowly dissolving, digitally manipulated photos of “perfect” flowers to provide a hypnotic and nostalgic accomplice to the very real and ever-present attack on our first amendment rights.

Vanessa Tomchik’s work utilizes Greenscreen, a term for the filmmaking technique of using a green background for the purpose of replacing it with a different image. This series does just that, but also attempts to address the issues of looking and seeing. All together the paintings merge to create whole pictures from fragmentations, while the final product looks relatively seamless.
